Goosebumps! The movie!

Releasing on October 16th! Check it out in theatres! This show was one of the most difficult shows I have ever worked on. I’ve never pulled hours where I was working from 9 am to 5am (19 hour work day?) and consistently leaving work anywhere between 10pm and 5am for 4 months straight. Although all the long hours, it was a fun project to work on. A lot of amazing creature animation and hero work. Everyone on the team got a chance to do some really cool stuff! It was also a great time to bond with an amazing crew. It felt like we went through a war together and came out a close family =).

This was also my first animation job as a Lead Animator. It was a great experience learning from such an amazing Animation Supervisor Jason Snyman! And learning to bridge the gap between client request and our fellow animators. Hopefully everyone enjoyed working together as much as I have! Go check it out in theatres! It should a be fun halloween movie. =)

Finished MiB3. Now to Oz: The Great and Powerful

So last week was my last time working on Men in Black 3. Animation has pretty much wrapped up and the lighting/compositing team is on its way to be finished! The film comes out May 25th, 2012! They just released a new trailer, which actually shows a lot of the movie… so watch at your discretion!

Today I begin my journey working on the movie ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ to be released spring of 2013! The plot of the film pretty much entails about how the great wizard of Oz, played by James Franco, got to where he is. It is a prequel to the famous story of ‘Wizard of Oz’. With tons of FX shots and a lot of work this is going to be one helluva production!. But from what I’ve seen already, it is looking pretty cool! The only picture I found on the internet of Oz is this one that seems to be on set material. It shows a glimpse of what the logo might be.

Men in Black 3 Trailer

So I have been working on MiB3 for the last 2 and a half months and it has been pretty fun! So far the movie is looking pretty good. It might possibly be my favourite MiB of the series. I’ll be looking forward to seeing the final version when we wrap up in end of March! Check out the teaser trailer they just released:

The start of Men in Black 3 Production!

Men in Black 3 Movie

Today marks my first day on the Men in Black 3 production. Looking at a few of the sequences from the live action shoot, it looks like this will be a pretty fun and exciting movie to work on! Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Rip Torn are part of the crew as they will also be keeping the same cast as the previous MIB. Josh Brolin will be the new “Young Agent K” giving you a little insight on what MIB3 will be about. 😉

Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5 a wrap.

Hot Wheels Battle Force 5
A few days we had our wrap party for Nerd Corps’ TV Series, Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5. The party was a blast and everyone had a fun time celebrating. It is great to see the TV series have done so well around the world, being one of the most popular kids cartoon show of this era.

It reminded me of the time when I was walking through Toys ‘R’ us and seeing young boys running up to the toys in such excitement towards ‘Vert’ and the rest of the team in toy figurines. Even though I no longer work there, I’m glad to see Nerd Corps Entertainment doing so well with each cartoon TV series they produce.
